Fantasy Cupcake Business…

At the end of May, Dustin and I were asked to bake cupcake for a high school graduation party. I think the reason why we were asked was when I brought homemade S’more Cupcakes for my birthday to work. You would think with Dustin being a culinary student, he would enjoy baking succulent cupcakes. That is definitely not the case.

I am the one that loves baking. I will let Dustin cook delicious meals and we can feast on sweets made by me afterwards. I feel that’s a win-win situation. For several years, I daydream of potentially open my open bakery. I love the shows Georgetown Cupcakes or the recent America’s Baking Challenge.

With being asked to bake 13 dozen cupcakes for this graduation, it only got done with the help with Dustin and let’s just say that he won’t be baking that many anytime soon. I had several obligations but with his consensuses, he made it.

Our two type of cupcakes:

  1. Vanilla cupcakes filled with strawberries; topped with cream cheese frosting, garnished with a strawberry slice.
  2. Banana cupcakes; topped with a peanut butter buttercreme.

I have to admit, they were very delicious. I’m trying not to be bias in any way. When I gave them their bill, they were happy to see that there were no charges for marriage counseling.

Does anyone know the definition of side track? If you do please let me know. For many weeks now, the word blogging has haunted me in my sleep and continued to be on my mind.

While after taking Jet and Bella for a walk tonight, they convinced me that tonight was the night to sit down a write something. I’m even nervous to look through the camera of the pictures that I have taken to be blogged about.

So I think if I shared them with you at the same time while I look through them, I won’t be as shocked!

Oh man, I was going blog something about this. This happened at the beginning of August. I submitted these ice cream cake cones in the 4-H Sweet Treats auction. These were my favorite when growing up. My mom would make these for my birthday most of the time.

Yes, my favorite salad of all times now! I found this recipe because I need to use up some sweet corn and canned black beans. Let’s just say, hook me up to an IV-I could live off of this.

Then, I made this yummy dessert. A Pumpkin Spice bundt cake! I believe I devoured this within a week! Plus, a dollop of whipped cream on top makes it so much better.

In the past couple weeks, I have made this dish a few times on the weekend. I think they are Dustin’s favorite-breakfast burritos. I believe when I was making this, Dustin came home upset because Jet had an accident in the pickup while going a joy ride. These are definitely a way to a man’s heart!

How did this get on here? Long story short, they love each other!

The only conclusion that I could gather by these pictures is that I like food. I don’t think there is nothing wrong with that. I embrace my love handles each and every day. On a healthy note, I would just like to say I finally accomplished something healthy for my body.

Today was my last day of the Arbonne 7-day cleanse. If you haven’t heard of this at all, it helps cleanse and detoxify the system and support the GI tract. Trust me, it’s not harmful and works!
Well since I think I finally caught you up and myself, I think I’m going to eat a Apple Caramel Cheesecake bars. I made them this past weekend I think there are only 6 bars left. I’m sorry that they are delicious! I’ll blog the recipe later. Later gator!

Note to self…

I’m not an expert foodie by all means but I do like to whip up some tasty goodies when I can. However, I can’t take all the credit for my wonderful masterpieces because I usually snatch a recipe or two from those that proclaim themselves as foodies. This thought leads me onto my today’s discussion: recipe ideas.
All I can say is web searching can be dangerous, especially when you stumble across something called Pinterest! I have read many other blogs, which the ladies rave about and I can see why. I didn’t sign up to be part of the addiction but simply just meandered around the site. And, boy oh boy I think I got myself into to trouble.
This site is a “catalog” to place all the things you love. Well all I know is that I love everything and I knew that if I did sign up for this, my “catalog” would of filled with food!

So after looking through so many good looking pictures of food (Disclaimer: I almost ate the computer screen that it was making me so hungry), I stumbled upon these sites from Pinterest. And this is what I got: blogs and blogs about food

As I drooled over the many tasty recipes these websites offer, I knew I was no match to become an ultimate foodie but to utilize these sites as guides as I continue to craft tasty menu items for my husband and I devour. So note to self: food blogs can be dangerous (they can take up your whole day!) To end the day, I’m going to create a challenge, a cooking challenge that is…look for more details Aug. 1st!
Enjoy your last weekend of July!
